State publishes low bids for 47 million highway projects across 34 counties

State Conservation Chief Urges November Vote for Water Program
Harold G. Wilm told delegates at the 32nd annual State Conservation Council convention in Massena that Gov. Rockefeller’s Pure Waters Program is a six year effort to curb pollution and protect water quality. He stressed a $1 billion bond issue must be approved by voters and outlined plans for park and recreation land acquisition and outdoor facilities to improve drinking water and public enjoyment ahead of the Nov. 1966 election.

Youth Council Planned for Canastota to Aid Youth
A Canastota youth council is being organized to curb youth problems in the community.
