The 19th Tactical Air Command aided German surrender by crippling motor trucks and armored units around Poitiers Chateauroux and Bourges on Sept 1 2. Col Edwin B Crabill husband of Mrs Teresa Crabill of 17 Irving Avenue has been a frequent Syracuse visitor. A native of Galax Georgia he served 26 years in the Army and is a WWI veteran.
