A Pakistani delegation led by Maj Gen Faiz Gilani met Taliban officials in Kandahar to urge handing over Osama bin Laden to the United States as U S forces prepare possible strikes. Taliban leader Mullah Omar agreed to meet, and Pakistan warned of potential attacks if demands are not met while the Taliban shuts Afghanistan’s airspace amid mounting international pressure.
In Central New York nearly 150 worshippers at Atonement Lutheran Church and other congregations turned to faith after Tuesday's attacks. The ecumenical services featured simple worship, prayers, and patriotic songs as leaders urged love over hate and reflection over routine. Remembrance books were signed, and children at University United Methodist Church helped mend broken hearts with messages of God's love.
