US Army Posts to Adopt Strict Cash Policy for Soldiers
Washington reports the War Department orders a cash only policy at continental posts effective November 1. Credit privileges for personal purchases are abolished to reduce bookkeeping and promote thrift. A pilot at Fort Bragg, NC since August 17 precedes the nationwide change.
