Charleston hurricane remembered in building lessons
On September 15, 1752 a hurricane devastated Charleston South Carolina. Builders learned from the disaster. When Hugo struck in 1989 only a small fraction of colonial era buildings were destroyed. Yesterday's national extremes reported 102 at McAllen Texas and 9 at Pinedale Wyoming.
