Scattered showers and thunderstorms pounded parts of the northern Rockies, central Plains and Southeast early today as a cold front moved across the Rockies. Wet weather was on top for Colorado and Utah with a warm humid pattern spreading Friday through Sunday.
The extended forecast describes stormy weather across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida with scattered storms in Texas. A rare rain event aids Glacier National Park fire crews, improving conditions temporarily, while NOAA forecasters express uncertainty about the delayed Atlantic hurricane season and lack of hurricanes this far into the typical period.
Oneli Lakes forecasts southerly winds 8 to 16 knots with light chop. Lake Ontario sees south winds 10 to 20 knots, 1 to 4 foot waves, visibility clear to the horizon. Inger Lakes reports south winds 8 to 16 knots and light chop with horizon-wide visibility clear.
