Sabatino Reunion Highlights Italian Grocery Family Legacy
More than 50 descendants of Charles Gerard and Rose Sabatino, founders of a North Side Italian grocery first opened in 1917, gathered Aug. 23 at Jamesville Lake shore Grove. The reunion drew relatives from across the country including Boca Raton, Flushing, Boston, and Rochester, with 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren in attendance.
