Drowning on Cape Vincent As Cabin Cruiser Crewman Dies
George Aman, 47, of Avenue D Rochester, drowned while fishing aboard the 27 foot cabin cruiser My Mistress off Light 237 near Carlton Island. Two companions, Harold Finucane and Fredrick Badour of Cape Vincent, reported Aman missing after he apparently fell overboard and vanished beneath 25 feet of water. Coast Guard at Wellesley Island investigated after being alerted around 5:25 p.m. Dragging continued until 8 p.m. and was to resume.

Placid to Build $13.3 Million Arena for 1980 Olympics
At Lake Placid Olympic meeting officials announced a new tri level fieldhouse adjacent to the 1932 arena. The $13,340,800 facility will host speed skating practice and an 8 000 seat ice arena with construction by Kahn Jacobs starting April 1977 and completion targeted January 1979. Stone and Webster will build the ski jumps. The old arena will be renovated for use during the 1980 Winter Games.

Iran Returns Pilot to Soviet After Asylum Rejected

New lottery to pay frozen 1.4 million prize
