Flooded Stonehedge residents return home after evacuation
Volunteers from area fire departments evacuated 69 elderly residents from Stonehedge Nursing Home in Chittenango as flood waters from Chittenango Creek rose yesterday. Residents slept at Chittenango High School gym, then returned home after breakfast as water receded. Valley Acres homes and surrounding areas were briefly sheltered. 35 to 40 homes flooded.

Four of six pipelines expect no major disruption. two anticipate only limited impact thanks to higher priced emergency gas purchases under federal rules.
