Discovery crew attaches ISS truss despite electrical short
Space shuttle Discovery astronauts completed the first ISS construction task by installing an 18 000 pound girderlike truss to the Unity module after a three hour delay caused by an electrical short. Koichi Wakata used the shuttle arm to lift and attach the truss with flight controllers praising his precision. The incident followed a broken main antenna last week that forced docking without radar.
