Deputy Sheriff Clarence W. Peck of 905 State Street died yesterday at the House of the Good Samaritan, one day before his 61st birthday. He had suffered a heart ailment since October 3 and collapsed September 23 at the Jefferson County Jail farm in outer Coffeen Street. Survived by his wife Ethel Bent Peck and his brother Brayton E. Peck, he was a native of Limerick and moved to Watertown seven years ago. A prayer service will be held at his brother’s home at 1:15 PM and at 2 PM at the Universalist Church in Dexter, with burial in Depauville.
