Syracuse University set a single game scoring mark with 50 points in a 50-28 victory over Rutgers. The total stands as the second highest at the Carrier Dome and the program's best since the 52-6 win in 1987.
Two Syracuse area men were killed when a car skidded on East Colvin Street at high speed and hit a telephone pole near Benedict Avenue. Two others were hospitalized, one critically. Police withheld names while families were notified. The driver was identified as Chris Murray, 26, of 504 Colvin Street.
