Boonville fire contained with quick regional response
Fire units from Boonville and neighboring towns contained a blaze at the Holcombe Bakery on Main Street after a 10:20 p.m. alarm. The fire started in the bakery rear cooking area and spread to an upstairs apartment. Two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation and injuries. Damage estimated for both floors but exact cost was not available. The incident echoing a 1970 downtown fire, was under control by 1:35 a.m.
