Widespread Showers Followed By Colder Weather Across Regions
A fast moving storm system will bring rain and possibly a thunderstorm to much of the country tonight into tomorrow, followed by a sharp cold snap for several days. Expect lingering showers in many areas, with a chance of snow flurries at higher elevations. Florida faces more rain while the Dakotas and parts of Nebraska and Minnesota see light snow. Torrential rain floods southeast Florida and parts of Miami areas, with a deadly roof patching accident in Miami Beach. Fort Myers area sees flood warnings as 6 to 7 inches fall in three hours. Catfish reportedly swim through flooded first floor apartments in Opalocka and a tornado damages a Hialeah fire station roof.
