NASA clocks count down for Discovery as it aims to lift off at 9 38 p m with a seven member crew to attach a docking port and truss to the international space station. Four back to back spacewalks will wire the new pieces as Leroy Chiao calls it NASA's most ambitious construction flight. The mission depends on weather with a 60 percent success forecast and precedes the station's first permanent crew launch from Kazakh soil. Bull Shepherd leads a two cosmonaut team in a four month run beginning October 30.
