Cadbury Schweppes to Acquire Snapple for 1.45 Billion
Cadbury Schweppes announced on September 18 a 1.45 billion acquisition of Swannie Baverages from Triare Companies, adding Snapple teas and fruit drinks along with Mistic Stewart’s and RC Cola. The deal broadens Cadbury’s beverage portfolio and may spark expansion into new overseas markets while not altering its No 3 carbonated beverage position.
