Poll shows limited support for extending the school year
A Central New York poll finds only modest backing for a longer school year with 59 percent open to charter schools in the city versus 47 percent outside. It notes a small minority sample and shows voters split on leaders on education, with Gore preferred by 46 percent over Bush at 34, Lazio over Clinton in the Senate race, and many unsure.
