Investigators say a two story home on Coolidge Avenue was engulfed in flames Sunday night. A 3 year old child died and four others were injured. Authorities note a child was playing with a lighter prior to the blaze.
Veterans say the School of Americas protest at the county war memorial was wrong, drawing sharp reactions and debate about respect and dissent in public spaces. Meanwhile NFL coverage notes Doug Flutie and the Buffalo Bills stumble in a loss to the last-place Jets.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free America reports a leveling of teen drug use with more teens rejecting drugs as cool. Among 13 to 15 year olds marijuana use beliefs drop, and overall cigarette, inhalant, methamphetamine, cocaine and crack use decline though experts warn it is too early to declare a major turnaround. The nationwide survey questioned 6529 teens with a margin of error plus or minus five points.
