The Nation Portland Maine reports a Medevac helicopter carrying three passengers crashed in rough seas near Casco Bay. The pilot clung to debris and was hospitalized in fairly good health while Coast Guard teams searched for two remaining passengers, one a burn victim en route to the hospital, amid rain and low visibility.
Jurors cleared Dale Akiki of 35 counts after seven months of testimony in a case spanning 1988 89 at Faith Chapel in Spring Valley. Accusations included sexual abuse torture and killings though a juror said there was no physical or eyewitness evidence.
Elizabeth Taylor disclosed that her past prescription drug addiction helped secure Michael Jackson treatment in Europe.
