Rickenbacker Rides Wing of Tiny Plane to Save Crew
Capt. Edward V. Rickenbacker survived a Pacific rescue after his bomber crashed. A tiny seaplane with a two man crew landed beside the raft, taking one officer and Rickenbacker to safety after a 40 mile flight.
