Industrialist Henry J. Kaiser spoke from the Friendship Train in Syracuse criticizing new FTC charges alleging unlawful steel industry conspiracy. He argued the government should support the steel sector and speed write-offs on increased plant investments, noting wartime incentives.

The latest arrest occurred Sunday at a tourist cabin near Jacksonville. A 25 year old Floyd C Fallon of Jacksonville listed as the Southeastern manager was found with 7240 in counterfeit notes. Identifications of other arrestees were not released.
