In Anchorage, voters chose Willow South over Larson Lake and Mt Yenlo by a wide margin. Willow South, near Anchorage at about 70 miles by road, is the least costly to develop and closer to the population center than the other options. Juneau remains 600 miles away by air from Anchorage. With 75 percent of precincts counted, Willow South had 41,814 votes, Larson Lake 26,036, and Mt Yenlo 12,232.
