All-White Jury Set for Gammage Case After Black Juror Excluded

In Scranton Pa defense teams removed the only black juror from a 46 person pool, guaranteeing an all white panel for the trial of white police officer Brentwood officer John Vojtas charged in the death of black motorist Jenny Gammage. Prosecution struck jurors with police ties and the judge scheduled 10 hour days six days a week for a roughly two week trial.

Boeing finds flaw in 737 rudder controls

Dryden suspect dies in jail cell after indictment

Sinatra hospitalized for pinched nerve at Cedars Sinai

The 80 year old singer Frank Sinatra has been admitted for treatment of a pinched nerve and is expected to stay at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for a day or two according to publicist Susan Reynolds. Kirk Franklin fell from a stage in Memphis and was listed in critical condition. A Pennsauken man jailed on a $5,000 bail after a burglary incident. police recovered some stolen property. In Santa Ana a jury awarded $6,000 to two men for police brutality but ordered them to pay $241,000 in attorney fees. Judge Brickner called the plaintiffs notorious local hooligans, provoking criticism from Erwin Chemerinsky and attorney Thomas Beck who has appealed.
