Two costumed men fire at Cortland home injuring father girl

A 3 year old girl escaped serious harm when two men in army style camouflage costumes fired at the door of Terry L. Collins home. The bullet hit Collins in the hand and ricocheted into the chest of his daughter Jessica, who received a minor wound. Collins, 29, was listed in satisfactory condition after surgery at Cortland Memorial Hospital. Police said the shooters appeared to be male, with blackened faces, and no arrests had been made by Monday night. A hotline was established for tips.
