Assemblyman Fines Leads Opposition to Emergency Budget Bill

A group including Assembly member Gary Fines and colleagues Joan Christensen and Bill Magee vows to oppose the four week emergency spending bill adopted last week. Finch aims to pressure a quick budget exender vote, warning of an emergency leadership meeting and a final budget within days if blocked. Police report two Syracuse men aged 46 and 31 were charged with felony assault after a dispute over a woman, with both treated at hospitals. A theft of more than 800 from Bruegger’s Bagel Bakery at 3063 Erie Blvd East is under investigation, and forged prescriptions prompt charges against a Fulton woman in a separate case.
