Clear skies tonight make camping ideal. Sunshine tomorrow gives way to increasing clouds later. Ohe weather will deteriorate Sunday and Monday with ample clouds and periods of rain. Cooler, then slow improvement expected next week.
Storms streak across the Mississippi Valley and central Plains with showers and strong thunderstorms. A second storm system expected to push across the Dakotas to Texas as more severe weather forms in the West. Dozens forced from homes in the Southeast and Plains. North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Oklahoma and Arkansas hit hardest. Temperatures range from 102 in Del Rio to 32 in Leadville.
Forecast notes variable winds and moderate waves across lakes. Southeast winds 9 to 59 knots with 1 to 3 foot waves on Ontario. Finger winds 6 to 16 knots bringing 1 to 2 foot waves. Caution advised for small craft and high seas in enclosed waters.
