The Allen-Bradley orchestra and chorus, a seven-week tour of 37 concerts, will perform Music at Its Finest tonight at 8 in the War Memorial. The 45 full‑time employees from Milwaukee divide professional roles across the ensemble, with tickets free but admission requiring a pass. East Syracuse bids opened for three-quarter ton pickup
Four bids for a three-quarter ton pickup for the department of public works were tabled for study at the East Syracuse town board meeting last night. A sidewalk project bid process was approved with next bid opening on Monday, June 12. Residents pay one dollar per foot for sidewalk renewal. the village covers the balance. Health Department dental hygienists were granted permission to hold fluoride clinics for preschoolers at the East Syracuse municipal building on Wednesday afternoons starting the last Wednesday in June and continuing through July and August.

Syracuse University Press will publish May 29 a study by Bernard J. Poli on Ford Madox Ford and the Transatlantic Review.
