Nephew’s Blood Donation Aids Kin In Urgent Transfusion
Norman Blasier, 43, of 243 McLennan Avenue, responded to a Herald Journal appeal and donated blood for his critically ill relative De Forest who suffers hemorrhages from a ruptured ulcer. The transfusion was given early last night. he remained on the danger list today and may require another transfusion.

Police wardrobe clash over tub in Black Maria
Two men Ronney and Jackson, charged with petty larceny for stealing a tub from a vacant Renwick Avenue house, argued over loading it into the patrol wagon dubbed the Black Maria. Convict Pleads Guilty in Prison Guard Murder Case
In Auburn, May 24, Ralph Freccia an Auburn Prison inmate brought before Justice John C Wheeler in Supreme Court yesterday after noon entered a guilty plea to murder in the second degree for the slaying of Guard James H Donovan kitchen keeper at the prison on March 19 1940. Freccia was sentenced to 30 years.
