Parish man faces second degree murder in teen’s disappearance
Roy Tarnowski, 33, of Bangall Road, was arrested on second degree murder charges after the body of 15 year old Karen Rochau was found in a wooded area near her Parish home. She had been selling candy for a school project when last seen near Route 38 and Richardson Road. The investigation involved Oswego County deputies, anti crime team, volunteers and firefighters. Rochau was a freshman at Altmar Parish Williamstown High School. The body and bicycle were found about 4 a.m. near Hice Road.
