The forecast notes sunny skies for the South and Great Plains with a warm front moving east. Expected unsettled weather includes thunderstorms for the New England, Midwest, and Pacific Northwest regions.
The forecast covers the eastern U S with scattered showers and thunderstorms from Michigan to Indiana and the Great Lakes, plus strong winds and hail in the southern Michigan and northern Indiana area. It predicts sunny to partly cloudy skies for the Mid Atlantic and South while showing varying conditions elsewhere including potential record highs in the northern Plains and Dakotas.
Lakes show light to moderate winds with variable directions today and a mix of coastal and inland forecasts. Ontario region expects cooler conditions with northwest to northeast winds and unsettled beams along the shore.
