Weather forecast for central New York remains unsettled with continued wet conditions. The forecast calls for a southeastward shift in temperatures over the next ten days and gradually warmer air by week’s end with lows nearing the upper 30s to lower 40s.
A slow moving storm dumped rain across the Midwest and South with lingering showers in the northern Rockies and Northwest. Heavy rain was forecast into tonight across the Great Lakes region Illinois Indiana and the Ohio Valley with thunderstorms from Tennessee to Florida and the Carolinas. Central New Yorkers can expect lows around 40 to 45 tonight and highs near 65 Friday with a sunny weekend ahead.
Forecasters call for Oneida and Ontario regions with Northeast winds building to 16 knots and seas 1 to 3 feet. Finger Lakes expect Northeast winds 6 to 12 knots with choppy water up to 6 to 5? feet. Forecast notes slight unrest and variable wave action impacting small craft.
