The district attorney reports about 780 DWI cases in 50 town and village courts plus 128 in City Court. A wave of tremors hit northeast Italy causing collapses and panic. Four people were killed in the latest shocks, with two others buried by a landslide in Gemona and a bank guard and a suspected footer missing. Two unrelated quakes rattled western Greece and southern Italy with no casualties reported. The Friuli region has endured 59 shocks since last Thursday’s killer quake. A military jeep was engulfed by a chasm in Gemona but occupants escaped unharmed. The tremors woke residents as far as Padua, and the Monteporzio Observatory logged a 5.4 magnitude.
