Forecaster notes showers with thunder in the evening then clearing from the west tonight. Friday through Sunday expect plenty of sun and mild afternoons with some scattered clouds. Increasing humidity brings a chance of showers and possible thunderstorms late Friday into Saturday, with partial sun and cooler conditions Sunday.
A strong cold front driven by a storm system in the Ohio Valley pushes toward the East Coast today. Widespread heavy rainfall is expected from the Ohio Valley into the Northeast with strong to severe thunderstorms bringing high winds heavy rain and hail.
Overnight outlook covers Midwest and Ono Valley with arrival into New York and Pennsylvania. Showers and scattered thunderstorms spread across the Southeast as a cold front pushes through. Northern Plains see scattered rain and thunderstorms while southern Plains stay windy. Pacific Northwest gets rain and snow showers with storms from Washington to Montana. Southwest remains windy from California and Nevada through the region. Tuesday brought heavy storms in northeast Oklahoma with up to four inches of rain flooding creeks and closing schools. Severe thunderstorms swept through southern Michigan, Ohio and Indiana knocking out power to almost 300000 customers. A 42 year old woman died when a tree fell on her car in western Indiana. Highs ranged from the 50s to 90s across regions, with record extremes from Blythe California at 101 to Leadville Colorado at 24.
