The Associated Press reports a frontal system crossing the Great Lakes will bring clouds, showers, and possible heavy thunderstorms into parts of New England and Virginia while the mid-Atlantic and Southeast stay mostly dry. Isolated storms are forecast for Florida and the Gulf Coast with heavier rains and strong winds possible in the Ohio and Mississippi valleys and into eastern Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and southern Missouri. The Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska should see showers. the Northwest faces showers and isolated storms. overall temperatures span 50s to 100s across regions, with eastern and southern zones warming into the 80s and 90s.
