Fire Kills 4 Year Old in Syracuse Home
The body of 4 year old Matthew Barlow was found in a closet beneath clothes after a fire swept through his family home at 117 Sabine Street in Syracuse. Fire Chief Donald Moriarty said the boy was likely dead before responders arrived as neighbors tried to help. The fire started in the closet and police suggested matches may have sparked the blaze. The parents and two other children escaped unhurt along with residents of an upstairs apartment.
