Westhill Falls Short in State Title Run at Glens Falls
Westhill High School boys basketball team won the Class B State Championship at Glens Falls Federation tournament. They defeated Manhattan Washington-Irving 70 to 55 but lost to Oyster Bay-St. Dominic 50 to 53, their only defeat of the season. Co captain Scott Ungerer called it the best way to end a season.

Battle of bands raises funds for Cancer Society at Baker High
Rock concert at Baldwinsville's Baker High on March 23 drew over 600 fans as six bands performed. The Baker class event raised more than $3,000 in net proceeds to the American Cancer Society, though billed as a battle it featured no competition. Bands included The Last of the Running Souls, B Smoke House, Raggedy Ann, TM Your Mother's Biscuits, TM Rev and Freenity, and The Almighty Jukes' Band, with student members from Baker High and nearby colleges.
