US Airways and union avert strike after tense talks
US Airways and its flight attendants union reached a five year agreement just after 3:30 a.m. preventing a strike that would have disrupted 2,200 daily flights and tens of thousands of travelers. The deal includes guaranteed raises, a cash bonus on ratification, holiday pay, and scheduling changes while allowing time for rank and file approval.
