Syracuse Orange Reach Final Four In 1996

The Syracuse basketball team clinched a spot in the Final Four by defeating Kansas 60 to 57 in the West Regional final in Colorado. DeWitts Comptroller Accused of Nonresident Living

A three month Herald Journal investigation shows DeWitt comptroller John Curulla may not reside in DeWitt as required. Records indicate he dwells at Helfer Lane in Minoa with his wife Karen, who is Minoa’s clerk treasurer, while Curulla’s condo on Watertree Drive appears unoccupied. Neighbors and officials note Curulla often parks at Helfer Lane and is seen leaving the Minoa residence for town hall duties.

New $100 bill debuts with anti counterfeiting upgrades

The redesigned $100 bill features a larger off center portrait of Benjamin Franklin a light visible watermark and color shifting ink to deter high tech forgery. It is the first major redesign since 1929 with plans for other denominations to follow.
