Funeral plans announced for George A. Cooper 88 longtime banker former First National Bank president in Cato and Meridian school superintendent. He died yesterday at his Meridian home and will be buried in Glenlon Cemetery with Rev. George N. Gates officiating. Cooper 1927 to 1933 led the Cato bank through reorganization and served as district deputy Grand Master of Masons earning a 50 year medal last year. He is survived by his wife Bess Lester Cooper a niece Mrs Jesse Bell Auburn and four nephews.
