Inaccurate report costs NM 215000 fine
Niagara Mohawk Power Corp will pay a 215000 dollar fine for inaccurately reporting the installation of radioactivity monitoring equipment at the Nine Mile 1 nuclear plant near Oswego. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission charged last November the utility falsely reported meeting a January 31 1980 deadline. Earlier charges that the equipment had not been installed were levied in November.

Health tests reveal many Central New Yorkers overweight
