Neighbors unite to build pride and calm a NY street

Neighbors organized after two meetings at the Boys and Girls Club forming a Neighborhood Watch. Pamela Smith and two neighbors led a coloring book program with youths at the club to foster neighborhood pride. The effort involved local leaders, grants from the Central New York Community Foundation, and collaboration with police. More than 1,000 youth use the club daily, with ongoing outreach to adults to treat the club as a community asset.
