In Concord Vermont a missing 16 year old farmer's daughter was found with Kenneth A. Ingalls a 34 year old ex convict three miles from her village home. Police say notes demanding food led to the pair. The girl is reported OK and Ingalls faces kidnapping and assault with a dangerous weapon charges.
American bulletin carrying President Truman's address to Congress has been barred from the mail in Czechoslovakia. Prague post office officials say yesterday's issue of the bulletin was confiscated.
Observers note Henry Wallace states Lawrence Steinhardt tried to foment a rightist assault in Prague's coalition government. The remark appears in a column by Marquis Chiliswerta on the editorial page as part of today’s features.
Roaring March winds reaching 62 miles per hour caused widespread damage in Syracuse and Onondaga County. Windows smashed, trees toppled, lines snapped, and signs torn down. Rescue teams, slowed by high winds and heavy rain, continued clearing wreckage for additional bodies.

Soft coal operators accuse John L Lewis of violating the wage contract and call on him to order United Mine Workers members back to work. They say suits for damages against the union are up to individual companies, and note mines are idle due to a concerted refusal to perform.
