Cortland police say Mary L. ONeill was found dead in her Cortland apartment at 138 Central Ave with her ex husband Oscar H. Linderberry being sought for the killing. Linderberry had previously faced menacing charges after threatening her with a butcher knife.

Cuomo pact envisions release for dying inmates and staged parole
Gov Cuomo and lawmakers reached a budget deal to free terminally ill inmates including AIDS patients and allow deferral of nonviolent first felonies up to one year under supervision. The agreement expands parole, boot camp style shock incarceration with age up to 35, and medical parole while scrapping a windshield etched identification fee and shifting a new $1 vehicle insurance surcharge to consumers.
