Three WACs Awarded Soldiers Medal in Pacific
The Pacific theater WACs Vis via S. Withner, Helen Bragdon, and Mary Te Lyne received the Soldiers Medal for extinguishing a fire and preventing heavy damage after an oil stove explosion in an enlisted women's barracks at Port Moresby New Guinea on Oct 11. The Earl of Halifax British ambassador to the United States will join a wolf hunt in Oklahoma City on March 30 during his visit. The Halifax party will tour the southwest to learn about the country, arranged by Dr. V C Tisdal of Elk City Oklahoma, who met the ambassador 17 years ago in Edinburgh Scotland.

Thunderbolt pilots dive bomb targets near Wesel and Siegburg yards
