Pay Raises for 600 Syracuse City Workers Announced
Nearly 600 city hourly workers will receive pay increases next month, with about 500 getting adjustments from one to 11 cents per hour. The $13,000 yearly cost follows a four month job classification and salary study by City Budget Director Louis Adormato and Deputy County Personnel Director Seymour Bernstein, who found wage inequities across departments. Affected are staff in Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Aviation, Transportation and Engineering, plus the Water Division.
