Digest Woman drowns swimming in Skaneateles Lake
A Cayuga County woman died Saturday while swimming in Skaneateles Lake. Frauke Bauerschmidt, 63, of 9578 Oakland Road Weedsport, was found about 5:35 p.m. Police said the drowning occurred during a recreational outing on the lake.

Robert Stanfield, 67, slipped on a muddy rock and slid down a 200 foot drop at Clark Reservation State Park in DeWitt.
