Jaycees Host Mammoth June Party for Junior Chamber Here

In Kansas City the Jaycees threw a massive municipal garage bash for the National Junior Chamber of Commerce Convention. Driver William R. Martin Fined on Drunken Driving Charge

William R. Martin, 49, of 516 Hawley Ave., pleaded not guilty in Traffic Court to a second drunken driving charge in 18 months. He posted $2,500 bail for a July 19 appearance, with options for a Police Court hearing or grand jury examination. He had a prior Jan. 22, 1955, conviction in North Syracuse.

Three people died and four were injured in a three vehicle crash on a viaduct near Sparkill Creek. Washington reports a new tax bill raises tires gas diesel fuel trucks and truck trailers to fund a nationwide highway modernization program.
