Flea beetles threaten tomato and potato leaves
Tiny spinholes in tomato and potato leaves are caused by flea beetles. Walking past crops may scare them off and help identify them by their hopping. Control is by rotenone dust or rotenone spray, safer for vegetables than DDT or lead arsenate. Leaf damage reduces plant development and akin to machines down in a factory.
