In San Bernardino on June 26, 55 year old Sara Sarkisian died after attempting to rescue a squealing pig caught in a picket fence. He leaped the fence but struck a wooden upright and died from his chest injury.
Tokyo reports that Asahi says Japan will proclaim an Asiatic Source Doctrine to prevent European holdings in the Far East from falling to Germany or Italy as spoils of war. The plan would warn powers against interference and oppose transfers or forced changes in status, aiming to guarantee East Asian autonomy and solidify Japan as the dominant regional factor.
Sources say a semi official group formerly urging Japan's alliance with Italy and Germany is renewing its push after German victories. The campaign targets Yonai and Arita. ousting them could bring an Axis aligned government and a broader Asiatic Monroe Doctrine to assert Japan's influence before colonial changes.

Katie the seeing eye dog earned the Canine Fidelity degree at Stetson University’s commencement.
