Judge awards custody to father in long standing abuse case
Suffolk probate judge finds no evidence of sexual abuse by Stephen LaLonde and grants him sole legal custody with joint physical custody to both parents. Nicole LaLonde to be returned to father July 9 after years in foster care amid a high profile dispute beginning in 1985. Virginia LaLonde plans to appeal the ruling.
